Montecillo - Verdejo Rueda DO
This Verdejo is made from old bush vines in Rueda, grown at an altitude of 740 meters. Hand-selected bunches are fermented in stainless steel prior to two months of lees-stirring to create richness and body. It is then cellared for four months prior to release to round off and refine the wine. Very expressive and aromatic on the nose, with characteristic green notes of fennel and aromatic herbs, followed by a hint of citrus. Elegant and complex on the palate with plenty of well-defined fruit, lively acidity and minerality. Persistent and very fresh on the finish.

Fuenmayor is one of the towns with the longest history and tradition in Rioja Alta. Named after the unique landscape, Montecillo (a small hill or hillock), provides the perfect climatic and geological conditions to produce wines of elegance, complexity and balance.
