Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights! A good friend of mine taught me how this celebration symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance" - she also explained how Hinduism offers a more flexible and varied approach to matters such as alcohol consumption - so we like to celebrate this day together with some bubbles!
